Sounds like a stellar guy

So its been a good while since ive made a RECCOMENDATION - so i made a fancy banner for it!

Todays pick is "Uprooted" by Naomi Novik (the author of "His Majesty's Dragon"). This is a dark fantasy set in an Eastern European kingdom. A young woman from a small village is chosen to be servant to a powerful and terrible wizard known as "The Dragon". For 10 years she must be locked away in his tower on the edge of a corrupted woods. But soon she discovers he is not what he seems and the forest that he protects the village from is full of dark secrets and monsters.
This book is reccomended for adults and the mature young adult reader. There is some vivid descriptions of violence and also a little romance, so please be mindful before giving it to younger readers. I really enjoyed this book's mix of themes, much if it drawn from eastern european folk tales (think Babba Yagga).
