If it's not obvious, there are infact two people controlling Kay and they havent exactly gotten the hang of it yet. Sharing magic is something you often see with twin Faunis and is one of the reasons why the twins have excelled in school. If they booth channel the same spell it greatly amplifys thier powers, in this case keeping control of Kay from a distance and if necassary weilding magic thru her. Of course if both twins try to give directions to Kay at once, well than...BONK!
