Panel 1 : A magical gust of blue wind sends Kay tumbling backwards

Panel 2: In the magical light, a great beast rears up and roars. His eyes are a light with a bright blue glow. He resembles a lion with a great dark blue mane and strange wolf like snout. Two dark and twisted horns poke out from his mane. His mouth reveals large sharp teeth. His paws are scaled with long black talons.

Panel 3: With startling force the beast smacks the fire mage with one blow of its paw. The Mage, his hands still lit with fire, goes limp like a doll.

Panel 4: The beast now stands over the prone body of the fire mage. We can now see that the beast has a pair of long ethereal wings that seem tattered. His shoulders are baldly scotched and still smoking.  The creature stares ahead, and gives a low growl.

Panel 5: Kay is sitting on the ground watching with wide eyes. "I..I forgot he could do that!" she mutters dumbly to herself.
